I started The Glossier (glossy-AY) a few years ago for several reasons — First, I'm obsessed with print magazines and design, and I've always wanted to have a magazine of my own. Creating this site was a way for me to finally get my wish (sort of), and also, I needed an outlet outside of work, to keep me sane (ish).

I also wanted to create a place where I could be myself and where I could inspire people to be themselves too. I think it's really important in a world always trying to tear down our self-esteems, that we learn to love ourselves, and be proud of what we do—unapologetically.
